Carrie has been involved with dogs for 19 years including both rescue and purebreds. So much so it has led her to a life surrounded personally and professionally with dogs. Currently Carrie has 4 Labradors named Bentley, Cayer, Obi, Rebar and a rescue named Lily. All of her dogs are therapy dogs, and show dogs, some of which are out of her own breeding line. They work in schools for Therapy Dog work, and her dogs are also blood donors!
Over the years she has accomplished in breeding 4 litters, several Canadian show champions, novice rally titles, service dogs trained, novice trick titles, Canine Good Neighbour titles, and shown dogs for others at the biggest Labrador show in the world in Frederick Marlyland USA.
She has worked previously as a veterinary receptionist in another local clinic and has been working with behaviour dogs and helping support their training consistently for the past 3 years. On top of teaching behaviour classes, she has completed many Fear free courses, pets First Aid, nutrition courses, behaviour courses and webinars to further her education!
Carrie is very excited to be a part of the Westwood Veterinary Hospital team and looks forward to meeting all of our clients' fur babies!
