Ramona is a Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) who graduated from the Veterinary Technology program at Saskatchewan Polytechnic in 2023. She speaks both English and Swiss German.
Ramona chose the veterinary field because of her lifelong love for animals and her desire to help sick pets feel better. She has a strong interest in running diagnostics such as blood work, urine tests, and smears, as well as monitoring anesthesia and assisting with surgical nursing care. One of the most rewarding parts of her job is seeing sick or injured animals recover and get back on their feet.
Ramona grew up on a dairy farm surrounded by animals including cows, goats, bunnies, guinea pigs, hamsters, cats, a dog, and even a donkey. At home, she shares her life with four cats: Max (a Norwegian Forest Cat mix), Bella (a Ragdoll mix), Gus (an American Shorthair mix), and Cosmo (a short-haired mix). In her free time, she enjoys spending time with family and friends and going on hikes with her husband and their cats.
